We’ve officially reached the stage of winter where half of us are convinced spring is around the corner any day now (and will be disappointed for another one and a half months) and the rest of us have given up any sort of hope. It’s Groundhog Day but without a young Andie MacDowell and the happy ending. Okay maybe I’m exaggerating, as there is bound to be a happy ending when spring finally springs. Alas, that day has not yet arrived.
Complaining: done. Moving on, let’s talk outfit inspiration. Or lack there of. Because as of a week ago I have none. I look at pictures shared from different fashion weeks, people from countries where spring actually has sprung and new drops on my favourite fashion sites - yet, nothing. Or not nothing, as I am sure I will want to put all of those things (or cheaper dupes) on my body once the sun comes out and brings us back to life again. But until then I just want classic/basic outfit recipes that require nothing when it comes to brain power.
So here it goes, my current moodboard of no-brainer outfits we all have some version of in our closets. You’re welcome.
Great neutral sweater + blue jeans + belt + unexpected shoes
Straight jeans + white t-shirt + oversized sweater + canvas sneakers
Cropped pants + longer tee + cropped knit + birks
Barrel leg pants + buttoned cardigan + canvas sneakers + cute smile (hi Becky!)
Boxer shorts + knit + loafers + tan legs (let a girl dream)
And that was all from me folks!
I feel you - I hate “spring” here in the North Country (Northern NY)! My easy is black pants, fun graphic t-shirt, and a simple blazer. Always closed toe shoes that are both warm and not sweaty all at the same time 😉
