Oh hello! Just another manic Monday, am I right?
Whenever I miss a couple of days of Substack it’s equal parts terrifying and exciting to step back in to this universe. Because who knows what might have happened? On one hand there’s a whole heap of new and fun posts to read, but on the other hand it sort of feels like when you were sick from school and worried about whether your best friend might’ve found a new best friend while you were away. And honestly, sometimes they had.
I’m smack dab in the middle of tying up all loose ends before summer, which includes summer plans, summer jobs, school work, dog stuff, planning finances and more. Why is the last little stretch before a period of relaxation always the most stressful? Anyways, I have a feeling this summer is going to be a blast. I just have so many ideas of what I’d like to do, but not so overwhelmingly many ideas that I’ll end up with decision fatigue and spend the entire summer on the couch (looking at you, summer of ‘24). I’m also lucky enough to have a few more friends this summer which makes me seriously giddy. I wonder what their summer modus operandi is like and what fun things we’ll get up to. I’m like a kid, really. Do you feel that way too?
The highlight of last week was definitely receiving my new sofa cover from Bemz. Let me tell you - I’m in love. Making this apartment feel cosy and lovely and welcoming has been a top priority for me, seeing as I’m probably going to live here for a while and I’m tying to *find myself*. (That was a joke, seeing as I’m not lost).
I’ve been trying not to rush the process of letting different items find their place. I need this space to be a representation of who I am, what I like and the things I enjoy doing. I love the fact that my sofa faces the window so that I can sit there and watch the clouds go by. I love that my table has a view over the city and makes big thoughts come easily. I love the way my bed is in a corner, making me feel safe (and also creating the perfect reading nook). So the choice of which sofa cover I wanted was probably bigger than for most.
What I went for was a bold yet classic, fun yet serene check linen in light blue. Ugh, so good. She’s so cute and fits right in. Only now I have to get a new carpet but that’s a different story.
The other day I had some time to kill and happened to walk into the Mango store. Big mistake, huge! Jokes aside, they are absolutely killing it right now - at least in the Sthlm store. I think I brought in 10 different items to ty on and in all honestly they could have all moved in to my closet with me if I’d had the funding. What actually did come home with me was a really cool cropped linen trench jacket and a pair of red cotton pants with a slight barrel leg (that are *such* a By Malene Birger vibe). I’ve worn both items multiple times just these past days which is the tell-tale sign you’ve got something good, right?

I watched the entirety of Sirens in just two days and I absolutely loved it. Julianne Moore is always just such a star, but my real obsession is Meghann Fahy. There’s just something about her that draws me in (maybe it’s her gorgeous face and perfect body hah) - to me she’s absolutely mesmerizing to watch. I’m also not one to turn down anything that references anything mermaid-core and also has a bit of raw humor woven into it.
Have you guys seen it? What did you think?
Just as much as I sometimes feel a little like a completely regular kid peeking over at the cool girls’ table hoping they’ll invite me over - sometimes I really really do get to sit at the cool girls’ table here on Substack and feel welcomed with open arms. The best. And two of these girlies always welcoming more people to the table with open arms are
and . spent weeks exploring New York and shared generously about her favourite spots, specifically for vintage shopping. You don’t want to miss it. is killing it at her new job, but more importantly she’s killing it with the office outfits!! See them here.I know it’s cheesy but sometimes I’ll save things like these in Pinterest because they make me feel good.
Aren’t we just so freaking ready to start wearing our summer wardrobes now? I know a lot of you don’t think that the summer wardrobe is the best wardrobe, but if I don’t get my legs out in the open air soon I might scream. Give me a slight sunburn on my shoulders and I guarantee my life will improve by 200%.
I want to match linen with blouses with beach necklaces with a sloppy bun and a flipflop and sand in my ballerinas. You know?

This is where I bid you adieu for now - please share the outfit you’re most excited to wear for summer!!
Hugs and kisses
Giulia and Stephanie really are TOPS here on Substack, I love both of their newsletters! It made me laugh when you said taking time away from SS is like staying home sick from school; the atmosphere here moves at the speed of light. I love it?
Also, haven’t heard of Sirens until now and clearly I’m late to the party: can’t wait to watch!
Julia I cannot get over that couch cover - I don’t even have the right couch for it and am measuring ours to see if I can make the dimensions work 😂😂😂 what a gorgeous cozy piece for your space!!!!!
