Julia, I really adore the feeling of chatting with a friend that your posts give me. I somehow(?) missed your post from yesterday so, naturally, I went to read it. While I totally understand feeling like something is a miss, but I appreciate your writing in it's raw and natural form. I haven't watched AJLT and the mixed reviews always give me pausing because I don't want the taste of SATC ruined for me.

Thank you Kelly, I love that compliment. Will keep in mind that raw posts are good in their own way, as I myself like them from other writers.

I think you need to get into AJLT without expecting it to fill the SATC-shaped hole in your (my) heart, and just appreciate it for what it is. Or don’t haha.

I think it’s possibly age dependent. I am exactly the same age as they are so it hits a little differently. Example: The scene at brunch in which they get the crappy table when they were accustomed to the hot girl table…yeah. That happens. But you need the relevance.

Oh I'm sure haha... I don't know that I've been demoted from the hot girl table yet but I can feel it creeping up on me!

I also really love AJLT even though I know deep in my heart that it's technically not great? I just love being with these gals in NYC.

Does your sister have young kids? If so, and you’re on the fence, I will say that staying with her for the summer might be the biggest gift you’re ever given the chance to give someone, and if you can swing it once I’d say do it!

She does, she has a three-year-old and you’re probably right, that I should just do it!
