Love the idea of having a schedule so summer just doesn't disappear! I'm not working full time at the moment so should take advantage of that.

I'm hoping it will lead to a feeling of positive control, rather than being wasteful with my time. Schedules rest is just hits different haha

and then of course, there's the concept of "yeah, it's summer but i have a job..." lol who are all these people who don't have to work from Memorial to Labor Day?

Yes of course! But isn't that most people? I find myself in a peculiar situation where I have a summer holiday from school and I've saved up in order to have my whole summer free...

Love love love this!!!! I think having a different schedule for weekends make sense. I have a tradition of a fun little drinkie every night of summer - either a glass of cold wine while I’m cooking or fun sparkling water with lemon in a fancy glass. And putting on music whilst cooking dinner!

You're probably right - slightly different for weekends so that I can tell weekdays and weekends apart haha. And I love the drink, as well as the making dinner-playlist

I was never great at getting value from my summers. Then we had kids and moved to Sweden. Now our summer days are so incredibly precious, and there's always a park to visit. It definitely makes you appreciate that just doing something nice is a perfectly good use of a day. No need to put pressure on yourself to do something incredible. Just enjoy the time.

So true, doing something nice each day is the goal. That will probably amount to a pretty great summer.

Love this idea! Would love to come up with ideas as a mother of a school age child!

Ooh I probably have more ideas about that than what to do with myself haha. Maybe give them a daily task around the house or a daily goal like "bake a new type of cookie" or "find out something about xx and share it with us at dinner".
