I spent a looong time looking for Liz’s green oui hat after watching that episode lol. Couldn’t find it. She has great style but her botched facial work constantly freaks me out. Like I have to point it out to my housemate every time he comes in the room and then I feel guilty.
I knew it was Clare V but that one is different. Hers has really small lettering in pink and I think it’s corduroy and the green is darker/duller. I couldn’t find the one she’s wearing. But thank you I appreciate it 💜💗
I love this thread and thank you Kelly for sharing the link! I don't actually mind that you can tell she's had something done to her face and I definitely wouldn't call it botched. I guess I'm kind of accepting the fact that there will be women with noticeable work done and women who chose the natural route - and her excellent personality and style is the only thing I can focus on😎
That’s a very nice perspective! I have a thing about people getting a lot of work done…maybe it’s a California thing? I notice we’re all very judgey about it here and discuss it at parties lol
I’m watching Shrinking as I write this. LOVE Liz. I *think* I read that the actress is also a music director— which I am so fascinated by and can’t stop thinking about. I feel you on dog paddling—-I think of it as “graspy” energy. Am I checking my email 99 times for a response? Watching the metrics of something in a pathetic way? Stop. Stand up straight. Do a little yoga. “Act right” as my 4th grade teacher would say.
I want a friend like Liz (although I kind of have a mum that resembles her a little? Haha). I'm also so fascinated by all the family dynamics and how real a lot of the conversations feel, between all of the genius comedy.
Yeah exactly, I need to also remind myself to act right. Stop forcing, maybe do a little stretch and take a walk.
Was just watching last night and saying over and over how amazing the styling department is doing at real looking clothes, especially for Alice! It’s truly one of my favorite shows and reminds you that you don’t hoards of people in your life, just the right ones for you. And when you find the right ones you have to fight for it, and be okay with their quirks lol so much to say about this show but would LOVE to see your take on Liz’s style, Julia!!!
Please do! I’m obsessed with Shrinking AND I’m equally obsessed with your writing. I can’t think of a better combination.
I’ve literally paused the show a few times just to examine Liz’s outfits—I don’t remember the last time I’ve done that while watching something. I still can’t stop thinking about how simple, clean, tasteful, and chic they are. But this is just one of the many, many things I love about this show.
Congratulations on the apartment! If Stockholm is anything like Copenhagen, it is almost like winning the lottery. I totally get you with not wanting to shop, bur be kind to yourself in this transitional period ❤️
I think it’s so fascinating that the perceived timelessness of a piece calls you! It tells me that you care about having an intentional and well-curated wardrobe which is, honestly, a great goal.
You're always the sweetest Kelly, and this made me feel better haha. But yeah, I guess my end goal (which ultimately doesn't actually exist) is to feel like I have an intentional and timeless wardrobe
Congrats on the new apartment! And please give yourself grace on the shopping. It’s a difficult transition period for you! No need to pile on shame to make yourself feel worse.
Thank you!! And yes, I know the shame game isn't the way to go. But like also I want to get a grip. Otherwise I'll have to do a Carrie and ask my grownup friends for money and that is not a cute look.
Thank you!! And you're so right, but it feels like way too much for me personally. Especially since I will be downsizing my closet space in this new apartment heh.

I wish I had judgy parties to go to, that sounds amazing! Maybe we’re less sensitive in Scandinavia because it hasn’t hit us with such full force yet?
Oh darn!! That site had the small lettered oui but not on green 😅
Yeah I couldn’t find hers anywhere 😫

Yaay that makes me so happy! Could honestly do a whole series of posts about this show - it's THAT good.
Please do! I’m obsessed with Shrinking AND I’m equally obsessed with your writing. I can’t think of a better combination.

Oh Bianca you just made my day! And I agree, I want to rewatch the entire show as soon as I'm done so I can hyperfocus on Liz's outfits
Liz and I are the same person 😂
Congrats on the apartment - new beginnings! ♥️
One more reason I'm obsessed with you! Thank you Camilla, I can't freaking wait.

Thank you Sigrid, it definitely feels like winning the lottery! Maybe not the full grand slam jackpot but like the very nice f you-fund jackpot.
Oh, I'm so happy for you getting an apartment! A big congrats :)
Thank you!!! i'm so happy

Congrats on the apartment! Just wanted to say no sense feeling shame about the 200 pieces! It’s just a number and there’s no “right” wardrobe size!
